I took this photo close to home on the NSW south coast in MoruyaTime
I shot the photo around mid day on the tail end of the biggest swell I've ever seenLighting
Usually I'd prefer to shoot only early mornings or late afternoons to get some nice colours in the mix but you need a high tide for this place which wasn't happening until lunch time, out of the nearly thousand photos I took this day I only got 4 or 5 keepersEquipment
I used a canon 7d mark ii with a 50mm 1.4 lens attached, I put these inside an aquatech housing to keep em dryInspiration
It was just a case of being in the right place at the right time, I guess my love for the ocean inspired me to get out there and give it a go and this was the result.Editing
Very little post processing was used in this shot, I shoot in RAW like most people so I had to brighten it up and bring back some colour and contrast.In my camera bag
In my bag I don't have much, equipment is expensive. But I always have my Canon 7d mkii, Canon 50mm 1.4, Tokina fisheye and Canon 70-200mmFeedback
Just get out there and give it a go! Nature is unpredictable and you need to put yourself in the right place at the right time if you want to lather yourself in jesus' sweet nectar
