Hiking along the Alum Cave trail to Mt LeConte we came upon this lone section of conifer lined trail that was highlighted so naturally by the morning fog that it looked like a dream. I got out my tripod and starting metering the light to see what settings were ideal. I took a few shots at the suggested aperture and shutter speed, but then went a little tighter and faster. This shot was actually one I did without the light metering suggestions. I didnt have to edit or touch this up. this was shot so beautifully thanks in part to the heavy smoky mountains fog. This is one of my favorite photos I've taken this year.
