Affectionately known as the Stringbag, the Fairey Swordfish was pretty much obsolete when World War 2 broke out but still played a major part in the war. Swordfish aircraft played a part in the sinking of the Bismarck and sinking and damaging Italian battleships at the Battle of Taranto in November 1940.

Hi Jim. This is the oldest surviving Swordfish in the world, first flying in 1941
