Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in Hoedspruit South Africa.
Time
This was during morning time around 11.00
Lighting
The Boomslang was in the boom so it was difficult to get the whole snake out of the sunlight.
Equipment
Nikon D800E, Nikkor 80-400, out of hand and no flash
Inspiration
The Boomslang is a very shy but poisonous snake next to the black and green mamba. I was so excited to get close to such a beautiful green creature. It is the only dutch name which is not translated to english.
Editing
All my photos have post-processing. This is my digital negative, after importing in Lightroom and Photoshop I create the colours like I remembered. It is my own truth. At last because I am shooting in RAW the photo needs to be sharpen a bit.
In my camera bag
OMG, I try to travel light but when I go out in the nature I carry my lenses 50, 14-24, 28-300 and 80-400 mm. Als I am using Lee Filterset the bigstopper en the 6 ND Medium gradial, And soe small stuff charger, remote controller, plastic camerabag, cleaning cloth and accu.
Feedback
You have to be very patient and keep your eyes open cause a lot of animals are well camouflaged. Study the behaviour of the animals to make a specific foto, keep on trying and you will be awarded.
