This photo was taken in Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, which is located near Mysuru (Mandya District, Karnataka State) in India. This bird sanctuary comprises few islets on the banks of the Kaveri river.Time
This is one of my best shots. I remember going around in the river in a boat to see different types of birds. This was taken from the boat, around 4:00 PM.Lighting

I was actually trying to get better view of migratory birds to take a good shot from the boat. Then suddenly from a certain place in the river, I liked this view from the boat and clicked this photo.Editing

Southern part of India has lot of different places that you could pick for capturing in your camera. I clicked this photo during summer. In summer, the sky is usually clear. At this location, since it is river bank, there is lot of greenery around this place. On adds green shade to river water. Clicked a photo in a summer afternoon will help to get better photos :) .
