The fall colors were slow to turn this year in Virginia so I headed to West Virginia and I am so glad I did. While camping in Blackwater Falls State Park I woke up at 5am and hiked by head lamp to the top of Table Rock for sunrise. Just before the sun crested the ridge some fog stated to blow in from the valley to the south. I quickly recomposed my camera and took this image. I only had time to take a few images before the fog dissipated. The nice side light really helped show off all of the beautiful colors.
