The image is a self portrait. When I heard that my grandfather had very time to live and I would not be able to see him for the last time again the only way I knew how to cope with his impending death was with this image. I set up my camera and tripod and used the simple elements of what was in my room at the time to create an portrait of how I was feeling and to express in the words that I could not utter.
