I like piers. Especially during the winter months. They're usually almost empty, and i can enjoy the silence around me. And i think thats the reason why many people avoid such places during the cold, silent months in the year... When there's no action, they aren't distracted by something around them... Forcing them to listen to their voices inside. And i think many of them aren't really happy about their way of life.
