Location
This photo was taken on the beach at Northhaven in Adelaide , South Australia. Northhaven is a coastal suburb about forty minutes from the city of Adelaide itself.Time
We took this at sunset. It was about 7.30 pm on that day.Lighting
Lighting was all natural. The sun was setting behind the model.Equipment
This photo was taken by hand with a Canon 60d. The lens was a 24-70 ml set at f8 at 250th of a secInspiration
I had a model come over from another state in Australia, Victoria. She was going home next day so u thought it might be nice to finish off with some beach shots. The silhouette was almost an accident as the sun was setting behind the model and I had no flash. I then decided to ale the photo a silhouette by exposing for the light behind her.Editing
Very littl post processing was needed. In my camera bag
Nowdays I have, Canon 5d mark 4 and Leica M9 with a range of lenses and flashes. Usually a tripod though I tend to shoot handheld.Feedback
All I can say is to find a suitable model, and beach. Expose for the background light and take a good number of exposures with a variety of pose so you have plenty to choose the best work from.
