Love the whole composition, though I feel it'd be better with a slight lighting adjustment

Location
We were on a road trip from Sydney to Melbourne, and had stopped to fill the car at Yass. We wanted to stretch our legs so I grabbed my camera and wandered off into the grass. Looking out I saw the storm in the distance and got lucky!Time
This was shot at around 3pm on a summers afternoon.Lighting
The lighting in Australia in summer in the day is usually very harsh, but the clouds softened the light considerably. The strength of the light ensured that there was still enough contrast between the lighter and darker parts of the scene, although this was enhanced in post (in the grassy areas).Equipment
It was shot with a Nikon D800 and Tamron 17-35mm lens at 17mm. No other equipment used.Inspiration
I could see the contrast between the storm and the rest of the scene, and even the local contrasty areas within the grassy foreground. I knew that I could make a pretty epic shot out of what was on offer.Editing
Mostly just processing in Lightroom to work on contrast, as well as minor adjustments. In my camera bag
I either carry all of my equipment if I am going out for a proper shoot (out into the landscape or portraiture), or just a camera and lens. All of my gear together isn't too much, a Nikon D800, 50mm f1.8, Tamron 17-35 f4, and a Nikon SB-910 and Godox 860VII. I use a Manfrotto tripod and ball head, and often take my Nikon D300 to do time lapses on scene.Feedback
Keep your eyes open all the time, and take notice of what is happening with the light. When there are clouds in the sky the lighting changes all the time, and sometimes you will catch some wonderful crepuscular rays, or just contrasty patterns on the landscape. They may require some wrangling to get something usable out of them, but when you get it right... ????????
