Thought to be the largest equine sculptures in the world, these Scottish "kelpies" were fashioned to resemble the mythical water spirits that were believed to inhabit the lochs of Scotland. Nearly 100 feet high and weighing more than 300 U.S. tons each, these majestic kelpies are situated in a new park in the Falkirk Council Area, Scotland. Conceived and constructed by sculptor Andy Scott, The Kelpies were built of structural steel with a stainless steel cladding.
