Wat Sang Kratai is a small Buddhist monastery built over 400 year ago, when the city of Ayutthaya was capital of Siam (today Thailand). This monastery is still used for worship, prayer and meditation by the nearby community. Due to its age and a long period of neglect after Ayutthaya fell to the Burmese (today Myanmar) invasion in the mid-18th century CE, trees have grown over the walls of the "Ubosot" giving it a rustic appearance as seen here.
