Location
I'm more an Landscape Photographer. Where one picture takes minutes to hours. Working with animals is the complete opposite. The photo was taken in a Park in Vienna, during a workshop with my special friend, and award-winning Photographer, Julian RAD (special thanks to him!). I learned a lot from him. "Always get on eye-level" was the most imported thing he told me.Time
We shoot the whole day. This picture was taken at 3 PM. I remember laying all day on the ground. My neck hurts because of the low perspective. The day after i bought an angle finder.Lighting
Typical Autumn lightning. Sunny with a view clouds, foreground in the shadow, background hit by the sun.Equipment
My EOS 60D and my newly bought, but second-hand, Sigma 150-600 contemporary (i just love it!). And a Backpack as supporting surface to get about 15cm above the ground.Inspiration
The pictures of Julian of course. He gets my attention with his "Rush Hour" Pictures of wild living hamsters. I was so impressed by his pictures, i had to try it myself.Editing
It doesn't require a lot of pp. I only have to remove one gras-leaf. Sharpening and noise-reduction of courseIn my camera bag
Usually I carry all my Equipment in my bag, or my car. Just in case if i find something interesting. But when i go to shoot a particular picture, I only take the stuff I need. Especially when i need to hike. Here is a full list of my Equip: Camera: Canon EOS 60D Lenses: Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DG Sigma 17-70mm f2.8 OS Macro Canon 50mm f1.8 Sigma 105mm f2.8 EX Macro Sigma 150-600mm f5-6.5 OS Contemporary Tripod: Vanguard Alta Pro 263 AT with Manfrotto 498 Midi Ballhead Backpack: Lowepro Pro Tactic 450 AWFeedback
Find a Park. The squirrels in parks are usually more familiar with humans. Bring a bag full of nuts and wait. For better results book an Workshop with a Pro :) Thanks for your interest Marco Immervoll
