The Niagara Scow-on a hauntingly moonlit night,backlit by the light of the Casino on the American side.The scow broke loose 1.25 miles upstream in the Niagara River from the tug Hassayampa on Aug.6,1918 with two men aboard and grounded at this spot about 2,500 feet above the brink of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. The men were rescued-the scow remains.
