Talk about one sweet sittin’ spot! Of course, I don’t think I could make it out there . . .

I think the composition can be improved if you were to dive out high and wide, arching the back lol ;) but seriously, awesome. Love the texture, your distance, the depth of field that leads my eye in. Great work.

Location
The photo was taken at a location known locally as "Marble Arch" in Co. Donegal, Ireland.Time
This particular shot was taken around 11:40am after a walk across the fields of a local farmer. Our guide knows the farmer well & had arranged for us to be able to access this little-photographed location.Lighting
Initially the morning light was rather overcast & not particularly inspiring, however that can allow you to take these kinds of long-exposure shots without fear of blowing highlights etc.Equipment
The shot was made using a Nikon D810 with a 24-70 & Lee Filters Big Stopper, all mounted on a very sturdy Really Right Stuff bullhead & tripod.Inspiration
I must confess that I'd been to this location a year previously & saw another photographer take a similar shot but this time I felt I really needed my own take on the subject so set the equipment up and had a fellow photographer press the cable release for me once I was in position.Editing
There is very minimal Lightroom post-processing on this image as my style tends to be more natural & realistic rather than over-processed, although that's not to disparage others' processing techniques! In my camera bag
My bag varies depending on my mood & location. Oftentimes it full-to-the brim with lenses ranging from 14-200mm plus a speed light or two, other times I'll go out with nothing more than a body + 35 & 50mm primes.Feedback
The key to this kind of shot was having movement in the sea, a sky the didn't blow out with long exposure. Having a friendly photographer to press the button at the right moment can help!
