Douro river as got 6 bridges connecting Porto to Gaia, probably the most famous of them is In the center, the iconic iron bridge D. Luís I Bridge, one of the last kings of Portugal.
At the left, behind the defensive wall is another iron bridge, designed by the architect Gustave Eiffel, that bridge is named after D Luis I wife, D. Maria Pia.
