I debated long and hard about whether I should upload this image, we have been visiting this spot for many years, and each time we happen upon it, it changes little bit by little bit. The moss gets thicker, the fallen trees are smaller, and the colours are exquisite. But I wanted to highlight the texture in this one, so you will have to imagine the brown of the fallen trees, the deep green of the moss, and the moist air thick with the smell of the forest.

It is always nice to have a caption with a photo such as this. It make it even more enjoyable. Very creative and the texture is wonderful.

Shots like this makes me home sick; being from Cleveland, Ohio. It you go deep in the backwoods of Ohio you'll find spots just like this, and your right, the colors are beautiful.

One of the past over advantages of B&W is that the viewer must participate, enter into the image. Do the work of translating and understanding. So we can see and feel and smell this pace because we have some experiences of our own in our memory banks. It is more satisfying, i think, that getting the whole colour package served up on a bun. :)
