Marsden Valley Nelson New ZealandTime
This image was taken early to mid morningLighting
The sun had not reached the valley but was brightening the skyEquipment
Sony RX1R2, fixed 35mm lens, gitzo tripod, breakthrough CPL filterInspiration
The valley had received some good rain and I knew that there would be some nice water flow, setting off quite early I chose a valley from the distance and started climbing and scrambling up the creek, after 2 hours I came across this cascade, quite steep, lush and full of oxygen in the air, I really liked how the light was just starting to arrive and the greenery appeared to be waiting for the sun.Editing
Just some light adjustments in Lightroom, shadows, highlights. In my camera bag
As I enjoy off track adventures ,always with gps and emergency beacon in bag, I now only carry a fantastic pocket sized full frame Sony RX1R2, several filters (Breakthrough), super strong Gitzo tripod, remote control, cleaning cloths and a small Gobi panoramic head.Feedback
Just get out there and do it! early morning or evening, take some risks and explore the environment, choose suitable weather patterns with little wind, withe the weather clearing could be colourful sky at night, when bad weather coming colour in the morning. For me always a sturdy tripod and clean filters.
