So, the idea was to capture some dramatic shots of Godrevy Lighthouse. No problem, the lighting was fantastic and the waves were producing some decent swell. Safety is always my number one paramount when photographing potentially dangerous places. However this time I was a little more adventurous than normal. I decided to get onto a rock formation knowing the high tide was still an hour away and there was a high chance it would be cut off by the incoming tide. Yep! you guessed it I got stranded on the island. The evening was undeniably beautiful, and rather scary at times. Every now and again huge swell would break over the rocks and I'd have to move for cover. The waves did catch me out a couple of times and this rogue wave in the photo gave me a really good soaking. The water is knee high around me at this point and I'm holding onto the tripod. Hope you like the photo! I did have to wait quite a while to get off the rocks and it was all together a memorable experience!
