This was taken, like several of the other marble shots (except the one called Green Marble Planet), with my new D7200. Although the marble itself seems a little blurred, I actually like the effect. Many of you might be surprised to know that I photographed this marble on one of my sparkly evening bags! Now I am wondering how it might work to throw some glitter on a black background and photograph this marble - or some other subject, for that matter. If any of you try that, let me know so I can see how your photo turned out! P.S. - Although this photo didn't really involve shooting a night sky, I did go to a Photo Expo here and listened to Ben Grunow explain how he gets some of his amazing night photos. Much of it was above my head, but I got the general ideas of how he went about getting some of those photos. Hopefully, I will be able to shoot some photos like his one day. I have a lot to learn until then.
