A long time ago, before Photoshop, it was important to shoot for designers so they could easily do their by hand compositing with an Exacto knife. What I did was to create a product float system which provided shots against pure white, allowing the designers to work easily. I did lots of catalog shooting this way. Florida studio. Film.
