Behind The Lens

Location

I took the photo in my home studio.

Time

The photo was taken in the morning. But there is no particular reason for this. I take pictures of my dogs when they and I feel like it.

Lighting

I think I just set up simple Yongnuo Speedlites for the photo.

Equipment

At that time I still had a Canon 5D Mark III. I used the EF 50mm STM for the photo. Gray background, the speedlites and nothing else.

Inspiration

I just wanted to have some memories because puppies grow so fast.

Editing

I always edit my pictures with Photoshop. A little retouching and Dodge & Burn. I also use textures for the background and change the color of the background.

In my camera bag

In the meantime I only take pictures with Fujifilm. I only use prime lenses outdoors. Mostly 16mm (24mm on FF), 35mm (50mm) and 56mm (85mm). In studio I use fixed focal lengths from time to time, but mostly just a kit zoom, which is really sharp.

Feedback

The dogs should always have fun and you shouldn't force them to do anything. Treats and toys are a great motivation.
