Good Shot! The use of the mirror for a back drop was a very good choice!

Location
The photo was taken at a farmhouse somewhere in the middle of nowhere near Worcester. It honestly took 3 hours to find the place and within that time I believe I got lost more than 3 times! But sometimes getting lost seems to be the key for great images!Time
It was roughly around noon, the sun was beaming despite there being a lot of cloud coverage that day, but yet the sun still managed to push through them and create some very natural beams of light!Lighting
This particular room was actually quite badly lit by the natural light coming through the single window adjacent to the mirror. However the mirror itself allowed enough light to bounce to make it possible to capture this photograph as it is.I did have a mountable flash gun that I could have used, but I try to work with the light there is until using said light would be detrimental to the photograph.Equipment
This was shot using a Nikon D3200 and the 18-55mm lens that comes with it. Nothing special, but it done the job!Inspiration
The inspiration for this shot was to get as much of the female form into a softly lit photograph, the mirror was a great inspiration sitting within its grand frame. The light source was adjacent to the subject and was creating somewhat of a soft glow on her, after a couple of previous shots I noticed the potential and went with it.Editing
There was a little post-processing involved with this particular shot. I wanted to emphasis the highlights while keeping the photograph as a whole quite soft. That is why I decided to work with this photograph, changing it to black and white and balancing out the colours and highlights to emphasis the soft highlights. In my camera bag
When this shot was taken I was not as well geared as I am now, and were often forced to work with what I had more than relying on the equipment to do it for me. I carried a tripod (always), you just never know when you might need it. The body I had was Nikon D3200, and I had two lenses, an 18-55 (that came with the camera), and a telephoto lens. I also carried with me a flash gun. I will also add that I always had multiple spare batteries for the DSLR.Feedback
As this was my first model shoot I was quite wary of getting the shots I wanted and to do the subject justice within the photographs we created. The advice I would give anyone trying to capture something similar is to not be afraid to challenge yourself there and then, move around (even if it hurts), I found that sometimes you find yourself posing just as much as the model! Work with the equipment you have to the best of your ability, this will help you understand was is capable of yourself and your equipment. Expensive gear isn't everything, but knowing your cameras limitations and your own ability is everything! Practise, bend, work with what you have!
