I stopped for the view and a quick rest along McClure Pass on the first day of autumn. The view beyond my feet is of Crystal River Valley; home of Marble, a mining town known for providing the marble for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and Redstone just outside of Carbondale, Colorado. The colors were enough to want to stay forever and watch the living landscape perform vibrantly under an overcast sky.
