Location
Outside my house in Oxnard California.Time
It was around just after 8 pm.Lighting
It was getting dark but not quite full dark. had to have my tripod and remote so no camera shake.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7000 and my 70-300 zoom set at 300. I also used my Manfrotto tripod and remote to keep camera shake to a minimum. When I used the remote I set the first click to set mirror up and the second click to take the shot. Helps with camera shake.Inspiration
It was a full moon rising and I have been trying to get a clear shot of the moon. I feel I am still trying to get the clarity up a notch. But I wanted the moon just above the horizon. Hence the trees in the frame.Editing
I had to crop quite a bit and play with the shadows and highlights to bring enough into the picture. In my camera bag
I have 4 bags; the first is my biggest and it is a backpack that can carry 2 cameras, 5 lenses and flashes along with a few accessories. My most used bag carries my camera and 3 lenses, like 2 zooms that go from 18-300 and a macro lens with 2 filters and cleaning equipment. My other 2 bags carry tripods, monopods, light stands, umbrellas, light boxes and reflectors. One bag is a baseball bat bag and the other is a smaller bag that carries mostly reflectors.Feedback
To get this you will need a strong telephoto with a tripod for minimal camera shake. This is a long exposure and used a high ISO. I believe I had the ISO at 1000.
