After a 70 mile drive down dirt roads in the dead of night only to find the road was gated to car traffic after sunset we were discouraged at our chances of catching sunrise at this iconic spot. After some discussion we decided to hike the last 7 miles. After a short nap we were rewarded by this awesome sunrise. Totally worth it!
