I took this photo in the Great Dismal Swamp, I decided to go shoot during a Tropical storm that was hitting the area. Figured I could find some cool shots while out, getting out when others seek refuge was my goal. As I was driving down an access road I noticed this young raptor sitting on a railing, so I decided to stop and visit.Time
I took this photo right around 130 in the afternoon.Lighting
Nothing special about the lighting, it was raining wind strong winds.Equipment
Used a Canon 5D mark IV, lens was a sigma 150-500mmInspiration
when I first started getting back into photography, I was and still am passionate about Rapters, as we were experiencing a tropical storm, i realized human and wildlife both were experiencing the storm together. I noticed how water logged and water dripling off. I decided to share the experience and spend time with this beautiful bird.Editing
I did just a little post process to make it black and white. In my camera bag
I carry a Canon 5D mark IV with my sigma 150-500mm lens also carry a 24mm Canon lens.Feedback
Don't hesitate to go out in bad weather. Most people stay indoors, wildlife do not have the luxury to seek shelter. You get to see things most people miss by not stepping out of your comfort zone.
