On an August night on Florida's Gulf Coast, my dinner was interrupted by a flash that caught my eye through the window. For me that's all it takes and my bag and I were off! I call this image "Safe Inside" because my favorite part of it is the apparent tiny size of the houses with their lights on, and my imagining of the people tucked safe inside.
