I don't know how harsh.... I bet it's beautiful in the winter as well. I wish I could get there some how but it's hard with snowy roads. I wander how are the sunsets and sunrises in winter. Probably mesmerizing!!!

Yes, you could do that :) In the summer, there used to live roofers who made tiles and then sale them in the country. They are simple and kind people. I watched the entire process of making a tiles. There was a lot of clay :)
