As she was growing up, I could see an increasing yearning in her for a companion.
She would cry for hours after a play date would get over. She'd keep asking for friends to do a "sleep over" and would constantly tell me "momma, I am getting bored".
So I got her a best friend for life. Our boy - Mustang (a British bull dog) joined our family three months back and since then my daughter has never asked for friends to sleep over.
