This is Moraine Lake in Alberta, Canada. It's very close to Lake Louise and only open a few months of the year.

Absolutely stunning! The best photo of Moraine Lake I've seen! I haven't seen any other photos of Moraine lake from this vantage point.

Location
This was taken from the water at the beautiful Moraine Lake.Time
This was late afternoon early evening.Lighting
I wanted something different than the usual moraine Lake shot. The light and position of my camera made this a very special shot for me.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 5D mkiii and the Canon 11-24 lens. I also used a polarizer.Inspiration
So many great shots of this iconic location. I wanted one for myself.Editing
This was processed in photoshop using a few different exposures blended together. In my camera bag
I just upgraded to the Canon 5D mkIV. I carry several lenses ranging from 11mm to 200mm. I also carry filters such as a polarizer and neutral density filters.Feedback
The light is what makes images special. It's not something we can replicate. Being on the ground with your camera set up to catch the light is the easy part though. Finding the perfect spot to put your feet. That's the tough part. Get there early and move around. A lot. You'll find something special and be ready for that light when it hits. I am super slow at finding compositions so I arrive several hours early.
