Location
It was taken near Somerville, Victoria, Australia close to where I live and I often drove past this property and thought it would be a good place to take early morning or sunrise photos.Time
It was taken at 7am on July 20 , 2015 which is winter in Australia.Lighting
It works well after he sun has rose but you dont want to shoot directly into it and you can use a part of a tree to diffuse it a bit. This time I tried different white balances and found the Shade white balance gave the image this golden glow.Equipment
I used my new Olympus OMD E-M5 with it's standard 14 to 42 [ 28 to 84 35mm equivalent ] lens and a vanguard tripod and remote shutter release.Inspiration
I liked the rural scene and the horses in the background and could vision how the image could look if done right and at the right time in the right conditions.Editing
I shot it in Raw like all my shots and made very slight adjustments but cant find any recordsIn my camera bag
My Olympus camera plus 3 lenses, lens cleaners, remote shutter release, spare battery, filters and tips notes I wrote to myself for types of scenes.Feedback
Just scout around and look for possible good scenes for early morning or late afternoon or early evening photos and look for good subject matter within the scene and experiment with exposures and white balance
