This was taken out front of a shop across the street from Pike Place Market in Seattle Washington.

Around 1 pm

Lighting

It was an overcast day with the sun trying to shine through the clouds, so I used my flash to ensure the lighting would come out.

Equipment

D5000 with 18-55mm lense and built in flash

Inspiration

My boyfriend and I went to Pike Place market just to look for opportunities to shoot with our camera's, and Pike Place Market has tons of subject matter with loads of color to shoot pictures. I loved the color from the different chilies arrangements that were hanging from the ceiling in the front of the store and thought it would make some amazing shots.

I don't' have much photography equipment right now, just my D5000 with two lenses(18-55 mm and 70-200 mm, with some filters and a tripod.

Feedback

Find subject matter that you really enjoy photographing,envision how you want that picture to look like and take lots of pictures from different angles. I have an art background so,everything I see is art to me, whether it's colorful objects, to things in motion, to landscapes, to animals, the world is my canvas and my paint brush is the camera.
