I'm sitting at the table of a house in Cordova Alaska as part of a group called Science and Memory, where a group of students from the University of Oregon go to Alaska to document climate change. My instructor walks in the door and says "let's go." And we load into the van to drive to a fish cleaning station where an eagle had been sitting. We stop and pull out the 600mm lens with a doubler and snap some photos. My instructor hands me his other camera and I begin making my way closer. Eventually it takes off and flying out over the water curves around and I snap this photo.
