Floating on a sea of fog, the lighthouse guides ships away from danger with its beam. The 56 foot Heceta Lighthouse sits 205 feet above the waves on a headland. Built in 1894, the Heceta beam can still be seen 21 miles out on the sea. It is the strongest beam on the Oregon coast. This is the view on an August morning at 9:10 am.
