Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Aston Windmill in Somerset, England. I am a self taught photographer, I am learning every day.

Time

This image was taken about 20 minutes before sunset.

Lighting

Lighting was all natural light, camera setting, ISO 100, 13MM, F13, 1/30Sec

Equipment

This is shot with a Nixon D5500, with a sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens, on a tripod.

Inspiration

I find this place great to shot very relaxing and quite. The windmill its self in very photogenic.

Editing

Post-processing was done in lightroom and colour efex pro.

In my camera bag

Nixon D5500 camera, Sigma 10-20mm wide angle, Sigma 70-200mm, Nikon 35mm prime. Lee 10 stop, 6 stop and some grads

Feedback

Find any photogenic building in your area, it could be modern, old, or abandoned, pick the right time of day either sunrise or the golden hour before sunset, try and find some foreground interest, take plenty of shots from different angles, visit it more than once I always do, Play around with your image in post, and don't be afraid to hit those sliders all the way, you can surprise yourself with how you can make different effects on your image.
