This morning, my creative director and I were discussing the possibility of having a dominant yellow background for a collateral...I said, it might be a bit difficult and honestly, I thought it would look ugly. when I saw this photo, I felt ashamed of myself for even thinking that a lot of yellow is ugly

Location
Taken in Western Australia about 500km North of PerthTime
We started at about 3pm and shot until the sun had gone. This was one of the earlier photosLighting
I wanted a bright well lit scene but not harsh. I had a reflector to the side of me as it was a little shadowy on her faceEquipment
This was shot on a Canon 5dmklll with a 24-70mm lens. No flash usedInspiration
We have had a lot of rain this year and I noticed yellow weeds springing to life everywhere when I was driving to work. I started to think they could be cool for a shoot. Before I got sorted those flowers were long bin but the Canola crops were in full bloom, and they were much better than my first idea.Editing
The biggest part of post processing was we fixed the models skin and makeup. A few light adjustments and we had our photo. In my camera bag
Canon 5dmklll, Canon 7dmklll, 70-200, 24-70 and I have just added a Sigma Art 35mmFeedback
Plan what you want from the shoot. Have a clear vision. I couldn't control the weather but as far as the costume and makeup I knew what I wanted and it made it so easy for the makeup artist to create exactly what I wanted.
