This image was taken outside of my home studio in Utah. I am a self taught photographer, so every session is pretty much a new adventure , amazing journey and learning curve.Time
This is one of my favorite images! I remember the model complaining a bit about how hot it was seeing how it was mid day, but she kept saying how excited she was to see the outcome of the image. This photo was taken July 12, 2016 at 3:57 PMLighting
I wanted this image to be mysterious and draw the viewer into their imagination. The natural light was high and bright but I wanted less light. We managed to find a shaded corner so it wasn't blown out and matched the look I was going for.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon Rebel t5i with a 50mm f1.8 lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
This client wanted to be a bird! Capturing the fine art of childhood and making it into a keepsake to cherish forever. We absolutely love capturing the imagination of little dreamers. Bringing children's imagination to life, while having the ability to turn ordinary personal photos into extraordinary imaginary masterpieces.Editing
Fine Art Portraiture requires a lot of post processing. In this image we did a composite with the wings made from Eve Livesley. We also did a lot of exposure, curve, lighting and coloring manipulations in this image. In my camera bag
The first thing I always make sure I have is my 50mm. I absolutely love this lens, it rarely comes off of my camera. Next is my canon t5i and lastly an Off camera flash for those extra lighting techniquesFeedback
Know exactly what you are wanting to achieve before you set out to capture your images. If you are wanting to do a composite like I did here, make sure you have the license for that image being composited into your image. Open your imagination and think outside of the box. Have patience when processing your images. It takes time to learn how to do these, you will get it, Don't give up.
