Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my hometown, where I visited my relatives. I visited my father's grave for the first time in 12 years. I set the camera on my small tripod and took this picture of myself.

Time

I took this pictures just before 8:00pm. I happened to have my camera with me. I decided to capture this moment when the sun decided to peak through the clouds.

Lighting

Lighting was all natural. I did not use a flash.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS Rebel T3 and my 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.

Inspiration

The sun peaking through the clouds and the fact the I wanted to capture this visit to my father's grave.

Editing

I adjusted the highlights, shadows and contrast in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

My flash, diffuser, tripod, lenses, cleaning kit.

Feedback

Shoot at sunset and be patient, and always have your camera incase the perfect moment arises.
