Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is taken at the palace at Fatephur Sikri between Agra and Jaipur.

Time

This was taken at midday, I managed to quickly get a shot before the hoards of tourists flocked back along the hallways.

Lighting

Equipment

Fujifilm X-A2 using a 16-50 mm lens

Inspiration

This shows Akbars vision, he wanted to merge three religions - Christianity, Hinduism and Islam. Architecturally the doors contain a mixture of all three religions. The light in the centre of the hallway is a later addition by the British. So the scene is a real mix of religions and cultures.

In my camera bag

As a casual tourist photographer, I usually travel quite lite. I have the X-A2, 16-50 mm lens and a 50-230 mm lens.

Feedback

Talk to the tourist guides, they usually know the best shots as they have been touring these monuments for years. As these monument s tend to be busy then its usually about patience, waiting for the crowd to move to get the perfect shot.
