Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken at Bixby Bridge - I was checking out the Big Sur Marathon course from earlier this year
Time
This was taken on April 23, 2016 in the afternoon
Lighting
N/A
Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D610 with the Lensbaby Edge 80
Inspiration
I was in California for the Big Sur Marathon and exploring the course with my mom. It was a perfect photo opportunity between the combination of the water, mountains and of course the famous bixby bridge
Editing
I always shoot in RAW - typically i'll do a custom color balance and i have various actions in photoshop that gives a hazy/matte effect
In my camera bag
I use a Nikon D610 and recently purchased the Sigma art 35mm f/1.4 and i am in love with it - i don't know why i didn't purchase sooner! You can do so much with the composition through the lens, it's sharp, fast and the bokeh is creamy as ever!
Feedback
I didn't spend too much time on this composition. I was mostly aiming to get the slice of focus through the bridge and some mountains, the edge 80 can be tricky at time as it is a manual lens. practice practice!
