Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my acreage in Washington.

Time

I believe it was early afternoon when I was able to get this photo

Lighting

I just took what natural light was available

Equipment

I had a canon CSU at the time. I had a 55-250 mm zoom lens. That was all I used

Inspiration

I had been trying for two weeks to photograph this hawk. Every time I would go outside he would take off. Then one day I just went out and laid down on my back in the driveway and pretty soon he was circling overhead.

Editing

I always shoot in raw. So I brought the colors as close to what I remembered.

In my camera bag

Now I have a Canon 5D Mark IV. And several lenses. Most of the time I have them with me.

Feedback

Don’t give up. Keep trying different methods.
