Behind The Lens
Location
It was taken somewhere behind village called Ranua in Finnish LaplandTime
It is about midday in late winter when the sun won't rise much higher than what it is in the picture.. The time in early spring is one of my favorite time to photograph after long period of total darkness because of polar night.Lighting
This shot was taken with iPhone so not much equipment used as lightEquipment
I use app called Procam in my iPhone. It takes great snapshots as tiff.. So they are very flexible in editInspiration
After polar night, real visible sun light is very inspiringEditing
All edit is done in iPhone.. Dont really remember what i did with this picture but usually i slightly under exposure, mobile shots, to catch the sky and then in edit lift shadows to get balanced pictureIn my camera bag
I carry olympus omd em-10 m2 with few lenses and two flashes with remote.. And ofcourse i have my phone always with my. so i take lot of photos with it.Feedback
In my day job i travel alot around Lapland and every now and then i stop to take few photos.. When trying capture light like this you don't have much time. It's like sunset right from the moment of sunrise.. Early spring when the sun just peeks at midday you have to take all the photos you wan to very quickly.. Its usually, for me, all about good luck to see something to photograph at moments like this.
