I'd never seen this kind of bee before - perhaps it was not a bee - but sure looked like one to me. ** I found out online that it is a Cuckoo or Parasitic Bee - it has lost all ability to collect Pollen because it doesn't have to - it only has one set of wings rather than 2 like other Bees - it will lay an egg inside the hive-nest of another bee, beside one of the eggs in the hive. When it hatches, the baby eats the bee beside it and then scrounges food inside the hive to eat. Never heard of this before!
