'Yellow-eyed Penguin' - This little guy was resting at Aramoana, Dunedin, New Zealand, and we were worried he-she was exposed - too exposed for dogs etc, so we called a friend in DOC to have him-her moved to a safe place. Yellow-eyed penguins forage in the mid-shelf region between 2-25 km offshore, diving to depths of up to 40-120 m to obtain bottom-dwelling fish species such as sprat, red cod, opalfish, ahuru, silversides and blue cod, plus cephalopods and crustaceans. - Megadyptes antipodes (Hombron & Jacquinot, 1841)
