While sea kayaking at Stewart Island, I sat gazing at the last rays of the day. Camped on Native Island this gives a brilliant vista of Paterson's Inlet. The wildlife and especially the bird life is spectacular and well worth a visit. It's especially wonderful to experience such serenity and enjoy having skills to get to these places.
