This image was shot in my home studio at Logan Village Australia.Time
We shot this image in the morning at the end of a beauty shoot where we did a few different looks. Lucky it was warm weather so our model Jamie Lee was comfortable.Lighting
I shot this with a 1.5m Octagonal soft box to ensure soft and large light source. I used an over head crane to position the strobe.Equipment
I shoot with a Nikon D610 tethered to my 27" Mac. I use lightroom to tether enabling the images to be reviewed as we shoot. The camera was placed on a tripod so that multiple images could be used for the layers of the splash. I used a Jenbei HD600 strobe with 1.5m Octagonal Soft box.Inspiration
The original concept was to shoot sparkling jewels for a beauty shoot. When we found it hard to find enough jewels to add to the model I thought the sparkle of water droplets would be perfect.Editing
My workflow from lightroom was working in photoshop CS6. I used skin editing and conturing to work on the model and layers to add the splash to balance the image. In my camera bag
My Nikon D610 and the Jenbei HD 600 where ever I shoot.Feedback
The main trick I believe is to ensure the light source is constant and there is no outside source. This can cause major editing issue if using water in layers.
