Location
This was taken at the Blackpool Airshow, watching the displays from the seafront.Time
It was between 3pm and 4pm as the Red Arrows were the finale of the displaysLighting
The sky was very cloudy which actually helped to make the black and white conversion more effectiveEquipment
I just used my Canon 100D with a 300mm zoom lens. I had to make sure that I had the focus on panning so I could follow the action. Other than that a steady hand is a necessityInspiration
I love air displays and particularly the Red Arrows. They always look so dynamic and wanted a good shot which included their exhaust smoke.Editing
The only post processing was converting to black and white and amending the levels, such as exposure and contrastIn my camera bag
I just carry my Canon 100D camera and 2 lenses. I never use a tripod and instead trust in my steady handFeedback
Keep trying to follow the action as smoothly as possible. Put the camera in action shot mode if you do not want to tweak all the specifics. Carry on following the action even after taking the photo which will give a better result
