This photo of my adventurous cat called Tyson was taken outside my back-garden in Manchester.Time
I remember taking this shot on my summer holiday break from college on the August 8, 2016, 4:05:15 PM on a beautiful early morning after breakfast. I have took many pictures of Tyson before but after i took this shot i knew something was different about it, the image to me looked very mysterious and makes you wonder what Tyson is actually glaring at. Some say a bug? a mouse? or even a bird but at the end of the day we will never know.....Lighting
There wasn't much lighting used in this image apart from natural lighting as the shot was taken outdoorEquipment
The main equipment i used to take the shot was the Canon Powershot SX420 IS HD 42X OPTICAL ZOOM, with the support from my flexible light weight tripod called "igadgitz". Nothing else was involved other than the two.Inspiration
Believe it or not, Viewbug website had actually inspired me to go out and take some unique shots. I used to take pictures of mostly animals at an early age (but wasn't very good at it so i stopped) but after scrolling and looking at other peoples fantastic pictures it motivated me and thought to myself why not have a go at taking pictures of some animals again but before i did that i had to research things that could help me get an accurate shot when it comes to taking pictures of animals which turned out well in the end. Ever since then i have been snapping more shots again and again!Editing
no post-processing had been done.In my camera bag
When i'm not travelling far i only bring my Canon Powershot SX420 IS with me but because i travel fairly often, i tend to always have my large tripod in the back of dads car and in my bag i would always have extra batteries and sometimes a Flash-bender, i know its not a lot but when it comes to taking a quick capture of a animal, it does the job.Feedback
The only advice i think would truly help when it comes to taking pictures of a cat is being patience and waiting for the right shot. When i took that shot of Tyson it took a lot of time and patience to capture the image (45 minutes) but after it was definitely worth the wait because i would never get that shot ever again. But don't over do it by siting there for 4-5 hours! if the animal isn't feeling comfortable by having a camera lens near its face and wants to be left alone don't force it because it would upset and stress the cat out a lot. So i advice you to take a break and come back later and try again only when its suitable to do so.
