I was on holiday in Brugge Belgium, exploring the side streets, and came accross this which was a part of a art exhibitionTime
after walking the streets for a while looking for interesting subjects i stumbled upon this about mid morning situated in church yard it was surely a gift from heavenLighting
the lighting was good a bright october morningEquipment
my equipmenf consisted of a NIKON D7100 with a Nikkor 18-140 zoom fitted. did use tripod or flash as the light was good and did not want any unnecersary reflectionsInspiration
i was on a long weekend break looking for interesting subject matter it was a bit like going on a mystery tour and surprise surpise came accross this could not resistEditing
very little processing was needed, raw conversion slight adjustments to brightness and contrast in photoshop and slight adjustments in easy HDR to bring out the detailIn my camera bag
A lot depends on what I am doing and where I am travelling my usual kit is my D7100 body with the 18-140 lens attached and a 10-20 wideangle lens a Metz Flashgun and plenty of memory cards and cleaning cloths also a spare batteryFeedback
Do your Homework find out whats going on and where it is, that way you will have a good idea what to expect, and keep your camera at the top of your bag or round your neck, when you find something unexpected like this dont rush in like a bull in a china shop, stop think about what you want to achieve take the photo once in your mind and several times in the camera bracket so you have several exposures For all the Newbies and rising stars you are part of the viewbug community if you see something you like and want to know "how was that done" don't be frightened to ask
